Account settings and profile
Change your display name, set your default content strictness, manage email notifications and blocked users, export your data or delete your account.
Your profile#
Open Profile (the avatar menu on desktop, or the bottom bar on phones) and press Edit profile to change your Display name (up to 60 characters). This is the name other players see on your scenarios, comments and in multiplayer.
Your avatar is generated automatically from your display name.
Settings#
Open the ☰ menu and choose Settings. You'll find these sections:
Subscription#
Shows your Current plan, with Manage Subscription to go to the Credits page. See Managing your subscription.
Support#
View my support tickets lists every request you've sent. See Getting help.
Content#
- A note showing whether Mature-rated content is available on your account. This is decided automatically from your birthdate — see Content ratings and safety.
- Default AI content strictness — how much the AI holds back in the stories it writes for you:
| Level | What it means |
|---|---|
| Safe | Prevents sexual, hateful, violent, or triggering content. |
| Moderate | Limits explicit sexual content, hate, or self-harm. This is the default. |
| Mature | Mature, violent, or triggering content is not limited. Only available to accounts old enough for mature content. |
This is your default for adventures you host. Each adventure can override it in Settings → Scenario → Details → AI content strictness. In multiplayer, the host's setting applies.
Notifications#
- Email me about inactive-Adventure retention warnings — a heads-up before an unplayed adventure is deleted.
- Email me when it's my turn in a multiplayer adventure.
Both are on by default.
Help improve the AI#
Both options are off unless you turn them on:
- Share feature-usage details from my turns — which model, response length, timing, and whether a dice check or fallback happened. Never the text of what you wrote or what the AI generated.
- Also share the actual text of my turns for training — what you type and what the AI writes back would be stored, encrypted, and may be used to train future models. This only works while the first option is on; turning the first one off turns this off too.
Blocked users#
If you've blocked anyone, they're listed here with an Unblock button. See Reporting and blocking.
Account#
- Export my data — downloads a file (
export.json) with your account data. See Privacy and your data. - Delete account — permanently deletes your account. See below.
Deleting your account#
Press Delete account, then Yes, delete my account to confirm. You'll be signed out straight away. This:
- Deletes your adventures, draft, private and unlisted scenarios, and your credit history.
- Cancels any active subscription immediately.
- Removes your comments, bookmarks and follows.
Scenarios you've published to Discover stay available for other players, credited to Deleted User instead of your name.
Things you can't change here#
- Your birthdate — it's set once at sign-up. If it's wrong, contact support.
- Your sign-in method — RPGCortex uses Google sign-in; manage your password and security with Google.
- Display settings such as theme and text size live inside each adventure's Settings and are saved per device. See Display and reading settings.
