Managing your subscription

Subscribe, upgrade, downgrade, change your billing length or payment details, and what happens when a subscription ends.

Subscriptions are managed from the Credits page (☰ menu → Credits). You can also get there from Settings → Subscription → Manage Subscription, which shows your Current plan.

Subscribing#

  1. On the Credits page, choose Monthly, 6 months · save 5% or 12 months · save 10%.
  2. Press Switch on the plan you want.
  3. Complete checkout. Payments are processed securely by Stripe — RPGCortex never sees your card details.

Your new plan and its first month of credits are applied once the payment is confirmed. See Plans compared for prices.

Manage Billing#

Once you have a subscription, a Manage Billing button appears under the plans. It opens Stripe's secure billing portal, which is where you manage an existing subscription — changing plan or billing length, payment details and canceling all happen there.

If you already subscribe and press Switch on another plan, you'll be taken to the billing portal to make the change.

Upgrading#

An upgrade takes effect straight away:

  • Your new plan's models, usage limits and Memory Bank size apply immediately, and new adventures use the new plan's default model and free context.
  • You receive the difference between the two plans' monthly credits right away (for example, moving from Adventurer to Hero adds 1,500 credits). These bonus credits expire at the end of your current billing period.
  • From your next renewal, you receive the new plan's full monthly credits.

Downgrading#

A downgrade is scheduled for the end of your current billing period — you keep everything you've paid for until then. Credits you've already received aren't taken back.

Canceling#

Cancel from Manage Billing; the billing portal shows when your cancellation takes effect. When the subscription ends:

  • Your account returns to the free Novice plan.
  • Credits you already have stay in your balance until their normal expiry — top-ups and tips never expire.
  • Your adventures and scenarios stay put. Just remember Novice has shorter windows for idle adventures (see Saves, archiving and backups).

If a payment fails#

If a renewal payment doesn't go through, you keep your plan while Stripe retries the payment. Update your card in Manage Billing to sort it out. Once the payment succeeds, everything carries on as normal.

Deleting your account#

Deleting your account from Settings cancels any active subscription immediately. See Account settings and profile.
