Finding scenarios

Home#

Home is a set of rows that refresh as people play. Empty rows are hidden, so you may not see all of them:

• My Saves — your most recent adventures, with See all → to open the Saves page.
• Following — published scenarios from creators you follow.
• First Adventure Recommended — the Tutorial.
• Most Liked and Most Played.
• Monthly Theme — appears when there's a theme running that month.
• RPG Cortex Originals — scenarios from the official RPGCortex account.
• Recently Added From Our Top Creators.
• Trending — scenarios with the most new adventures started in the last 7 days.
• Your Most-Played Genre — up to three rows built from the tags you play most.

Discover#

Discover lists every published scenario. It's in the top bar on desktop and the bottom bar on phones. You can also type in the 🔍 search in the top bar to jump into Discover with your search filled in.

• Search — type in Search published Scenarios…; results update as you type.
• Genres — tap one or more genre pills: Fantasy, Sci-fi, Cyberpunk, Horror, Mystery, Romance, Comedy, Action, Slice-of-life, Historical, Post-apocalyptic.
• Sort — Trending, Most played, Most liked or Newest. With Trending, you can also choose Today, This Week, This Month or All Time.
• Filters — narrow things further:
  • Content Type: Scenarios or Scripts (scripts are add-ons for scenario authors — see Scenario scripts).
  • Content Rating: Any, Safe (PG), Moderate (PG-13) or Mature (R).
  • Mechanics Mode: Any, Full RPG or Freeform (None).
  • Custom Tags: type your own tags, such as sci-fi, aliens.
• Grid View / List View — switch layouts. Your choice is remembered separately on phone and desktop.

When you pick several tags, Discover first looks for scenarios that have all of them. If none do, it shows ones that match any of them, with a note saying so.

Likes, bookmarks and follows#

Open a scenario to see its page. The strip under the title has:

• ♥ Like — shows your appreciation and helps the scenario climb the Most Liked lists. You can also like from a scenario card.
• Bookmark — saves the scenario for later. Find your bookmarks under Profile → Bookmarks. Bookmarking is on the scenario page; on cards, the ⋯ menu's Bookmark / Report… takes you there.
• Share — uses your device's share sheet, or copies the link.

On the Details tab you'll find the author's name with a + Follow button. Following a creator adds their published scenarios to your Following row on Home.

Reading a scenario page#

Before you play, the scenario page tells you:

• The RPG or Story badge and the content rating badge.
• The description and tags, plus Show more — opening prompt & plot essentials if you'd like a peek at the setup.
• Plays, Created, Updated, Rating, Mode and how many State Cards it has.
• A State Cards tab listing the scenario's cards (spoiler cards stay hidden until you press Reveal spoiler card).
• Comments from other players.
• A More like this row of similar scenarios.
