Privacy and your data

This page is a plain-language guide to the privacy controls in the app. The Privacy Policy↗ is the full, official statement — if anything here seems to differ, the policy is what counts.

What we keep#

• Your account details from Google sign-in — your name, email address and profile picture — plus the birthdate you entered at sign-up.
• Your play — your adventures, what you type, the story the AI writes, and your game state (stats, inventory, characters, State Cards).
• What you create — scenarios, scripts, comments, and your likes, bookmarks, follows and friends.
• Billing records — your plan and your credit history. Card payments are handled by Stripe; RPGCortex doesn't see or store your card details.

We use this to run your account, save and resume your adventures, and improve the service. We don't sell your personal information.

Your choices#

Helping improve the AI — off by default#

In Settings → Help improve the AI you can opt in to share:

• Feature-usage details from your turns — which model was used, response length, timing and similar details, never the text itself.
• The actual text of your turns — only if you also turn on the first option. Text shared this way is stored encrypted and may be used to train future models.

Turn either off at any time.

Emails#

In Settings → Notifications you can switch off retention-warning emails and multiplayer turn-reminder emails.

Downloading your data#

Settings → Account → Export my data downloads a JSON file with your account data, including:

• your profile and account record,
• your scenarios and adventures — including every turn, State Card, stat and story summary,
• your comments, bookmarks, follows and followers,
• your subscription and credit history,
• your play activity.

Deleting your data#

• A single adventure: Saves → ⋯ → Delete.
• Your whole account: Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently deletes your adventures, unpublished scenarios, credit history, comments, bookmarks and follows, and cancels any subscription. Scenarios you had published to Discover remain available, credited to "Deleted User". See Account settings and profile.

How long we keep adventures#

Adventures you stop playing are archived after 30 days (60 days on a paid plan) and deleted after about 60 days (about 120 days on a paid plan) without play. See Saves, archiving and backups.
